Who we are
The Wring app ("the app") and this website are operated by THINKAD INC., 950 BROKEN SOUND PKWY NW, BOCA RATON, FL, US, United States ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the limited processing described here. Questions and requests: support@wringdry.app.
What stays on your device
Everything the app produces is stored on your device — in the app's own container and, so that the Apple Watch app and the widgets can read it, in the app's shared App Group storage on the same device. None of it is sent to us.

What leaves your device
Purchases — Apple and RevenueCat
Wring Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy; we never see your card details.
To confirm that a subscription is active and to restore it on your other devices, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA), a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives from the app: the App Store transaction data for your purchase (product, dates, status), a randomly generated app user identifier, and basic device information (device model, iOS version, app version, country and language settings). Your IP address is visible to RevenueCat when the app connects. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and does not use it for advertising. Network speed test
The speed test downloads and uploads test data to public speed-test endpoints — Cloudflare (speed.cloudflare.com) and, when that endpoint cannot be reached, mirrors operated by Hetzner and OVH. Like any server you connect to, they see your IP address and the test traffic. No identifier, no account and no measurement result is sent to them. The test runs only when you start it.
Universal links and web purchases
If you buy Wring Pro on our website, the checkout page is run by RevenueCat Web Billing and payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe, Inc.): they receive your e-mail address and payment details under their own privacy policies (RevenueCat, Stripe); we never see your card number. RevenueCat then e-mails you an activation link. Opening it on your device (or pasting it into Wring › Settings › Activate code) hands its token to RevenueCat, which activates the purchase on that device. Our website itself does not set cookies and does not run analytics.
Support
When you write to us, we receive what you send (usually your email address and your message) and keep the conversation for as long as needed to help you and, afterwards, as required by law.
Permissions the app asks for
- Microphone — the noise meter and the microphone check. Sound is measured live and never recorded.
- Photos — storage cleanup: finding duplicates, screenshots and large videos and, only when you confirm, deleting them (they go to Recently Deleted for 30 days).
- Location — the GPS check requests one location fix to confirm the receiver works. The location is not stored or sent.
- Bluetooth — the Bluetooth check confirms the radio turns on. The app does not connect to any device.
- Motion — the position coach reads the gyroscope and accelerometer while it is on screen.
- NFC — the app only asks the system whether an NFC reader is available; no tag is ever read.
- Face ID / Touch ID — the app only asks whether biometrics are set up; it never asks you to authenticate.
- Notifications — one local reminder a month to run a health check, only if you turn it on. There is no push server.
Every permission is optional; the related check simply reports "not available" if you decline.
What we don't do
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. No advertising SDKs. No tracking across apps or websites, so the app never shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information with data brokers or advertisers.
- We do not build profiles, and we make no automated decisions with legal or similar effects.
- The app never records audio, never uploads photos and never reads your contacts, messages or browsing.
Retention and deletion
On your device: everything the app stores is erased with Settings › Delete my data, or by deleting the app. Deleting the app also removes the shared App Group storage the Watch app and widgets read.
RevenueCat and Stripe: purchase records are kept for as long as needed to manage your subscription and to meet accounting and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your RevenueCat customer record by emailing support@wringdry.app; note that an active App Store subscription can then no longer be restored automatically until you restore purchases in the app, and an active web subscription must be cancelled first.
Support email: kept for as long as the conversation is relevant and as the law requires.
Children
Wring is a utility for a phone's owner and is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Because the app stores your data on your own device, most of your rights are exercised there: you can see everything in the app and erase it with one tap. For the data our providers hold on our behalf (purchase records), you can ask us for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing, by emailing support@wringdry.app. We answer within one month.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
Our legal bases are: performance of a contract (managing the subscription you bought, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); our legitimate interests in running, securing and supporting the app (Art. 6(1)(f)); and your consent for the device permissions you grant (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw in iOS Settings at any time. RevenueCat and Apple process data in the United States; transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California and other US states
In the last twelve months we have collected, through our providers, only the categories "identifiers" (a random app user ID, purchase identifiers, IP address) and "commercial information" (subscription status). None of it is linked to your name or Apple ID by us. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use sensitive personal information. You may request access to or deletion of your information and will not be discriminated against for doing so.
Security
Data on your device is protected by iOS data protection. Connections to Apple, RevenueCat and the speed-test servers use TLS. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Earlier versions are available on request.
