Terms of Use — Wring

In plain words: Wring is licensed to you, not sold. Wring Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple, Google Play, or our web payment provider, with a free trial where offered and cancellation available through the same provider. The app pushes water and dust out of speakers with sound and checks your phone — it cannot promise a result on every phone, and it is not a repair service or a medical device.

1. The agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a contract between you and THINKAD INC., 950 BROKEN SOUND PKWY NW, BOCA RATON, FL, US, United States ("we", "us"), for the Wring app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android devices, its widgets and shortcuts, and the website wringdry.app (together, "Wring"). By installing or using Wring you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Wring.

Wring is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where these Terms give you more, these Terms prevail between you and us. Section 12 contains terms Apple requires.

You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live (in most places, 18, or a minor using the app with a parent's or guardian's permission and their Apple ID Family settings).

2. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Wring on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse-engineer or decompile Wring, extract its audio programs or test track, remove any notices, or use Wring to build a competing product. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.

3. Wring Pro subscriptions

3.1 What Pro is

Wring Pro unlocks the water and dust cycles without limit and every tool in the app: speaker test, storage cleanup, screen test, sensor check, network speed, the monthly health report, the Apple Watch app and Siri shortcuts. Features may change over time; we may add, improve or retire a feature, and we will not remove a core feature you paid for during a paid period without a refund of the unused part.

3.2 Plans and prices

Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription — weekly, monthly or yearly — and may include introductory prices (for example a reduced first year). The price for your country and currency, the renewal period and any introductory offer are shown in the app and on the App Store before you confirm. Prices on this website are in US dollars for reference only.

3.3 Free trial

Where a free trial is offered (currently 3 days on the weekly plan), it is available once per Apple ID or Google Account. The trial converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

3.4 Billing, renewal and cancellation

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel before renewal. App Store subscriptions are managed in iOS Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Google Play subscriptions are managed in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

3.5 Price changes

If we change the price of your subscription, Apple notifies you before the change takes effect and, where required, asks for your consent. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the new price applies.

3.6 Refunds

App Store refunds are handled by Apple under its terms and can be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play refunds are handled under Google's policies; eligibility and request instructions are available through Google Play Help. We cannot issue App Store or Google Play refunds ourselves. If the law where you live gives you a right of withdrawal that a store process does not honour, contact us and we will help.

3.7 Purchases made on the web

If you buy Pro on wringdry.app, that purchase is processed by our payment provider under its own terms shown at checkout, and is activated in the app through the activation link sent to you (Wring › Settings › Activate code also accepts it). Web purchases are managed, renewed and cancelled through the link in your receipt e-mail, not through your Apple ID; sections 3.4–3.6 do not apply to them. A web subscription renews automatically at the price shown at checkout until you cancel it; you can cancel any time and keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Refunds for web purchases are handled by us: write to support@wringdry.app within 14 days of the charge, and in any case as your local consumer law provides.

4. Using the app safely

It is loud by design. A cycle plays at the speaker's full volume for about a minute. Put the phone face down on a surface and keep it away from your ears, from children and from pets while it runs. Do not run a cycle with headphones or an earpiece connected.
Surface water only. The cycles push water out of the speaker grilles. They cannot dry water that has entered the phone. If your phone was submerged or shows signs of internal liquid damage, power it off, let it dry and consult a repair professional. Do not charge a wet phone.
Check the volume on speakerphone. The app raises the media volume to 100% for the cycle and restores your previous level afterwards; if a call or another app takes the audio route during a cycle, check your volume before holding the phone to your ear.
Your devices only. Use Wring on devices you own or are allowed to use, and follow all laws that apply to you.
Storage cleanup deletes what you confirm. Review the selection before confirming. Deleted items stay in Photos › Recently Deleted for 30 days; we cannot recover them after that.

5. What we can't promise

Wring is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In particular:

We do not guarantee that a cycle will remove water or dust from any given device, or that a speaker will return to its original sound. Results depend on the phone, how much liquid got in, how long it sat, and whether minerals or debris have dried in the mesh.
The speaker test, noise meter, tone generator, screen test, sensor check, network speed test and the device health score are indications for your own information. They are not a professional diagnosis, not a repair service and not a warranty assessment. The noise meter and tone generator are not medical devices and must not be used to assess hearing.
We do not warrant that Wring will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device or future version of iOS.

Nothing in these Terms limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or related to Wring, including water or liquid damage to a device that already had liquid in it, hearing discomfort from misuse contrary to Section 4, or photos and videos you chose to delete. Our total liability for all claims relating to Wring is limited to the amount you paid us for Wring in the twelve months before the claim. These limits do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or to any liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Intellectual property

Wring, its design, code, audio programs, the test track (an original composition synthesised on the device), texts, images, the name "Wring" and its icon are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Apple, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Siri and the App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.; Wring is not endorsed by or affiliated with Apple. Feedback you send us may be used to improve Wring without obligation to you.

8. Third-party services

Wring relies on services we do not control: Apple (App Store, WatchConnectivity, notifications), RevenueCat (subscription management) and public speed-test servers (Cloudflare and, as fallbacks, Hetzner and OVH). Their availability and terms are theirs; we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. What they receive is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Termination

You may stop using Wring at any time by deleting the app (remember to cancel any subscription first). We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms, with a proportionate refund where you have paid for a period you can no longer use, unless the breach was yours. Sections 5 to 7 and 11 survive termination.

10. Changes to Wring or these Terms

We may update Wring and these Terms. For material changes to the Terms we will give notice in the app or on this page at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that date means you accept them. If you do not, cancel your subscription and stop using Wring before the effective date.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Florida, United States, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, which continue to apply. Disputes are brought before the competent courts of Florida, United States, or, if you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence. If you live in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Before going to court, please write to us — most problems are solved in one email.

12. Terms required by Apple

Acknowledgement. These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Wring and its content.
Scope of licence. Your licence is limited to a non-transferable licence to use Wring on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including through Family Sharing where enabled.
Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for Wring. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support.
Warranty. We are solely responsible for any product warranties, express or implied, to the extent not disclaimed. If Wring fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Wring or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that Wring fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that Wring or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Wring.
Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
