Speaker still muffled?

Wipe the outside, put the phone face down on a table, run the water cycle again — a soaked grille often needs two rounds. Then run the speaker test: it tells you which speaker is quiet.

A few quick answers

The cycle is very loud. Is that right?

Yes. A cycle plays at full volume for about a minute; that is what pushes the water. The app sets the volume to 100% for the cycle and puts your previous level back afterwards. Keep the phone away from your ears while it runs; you can turn the automatic volume off in Settings › Max volume during the cycle.

The Apple Watch app shows "—" for the health score.

The score is calculated on the phone and handed to the Watch. Open Wring on the iPhone once and run a full check; the number appears on the Watch within a few seconds while the phone is nearby.

Siri doesn't understand "dry my speaker".

Siri needs the app's name in the phrase: "Hey Siri, dry my speaker with Wring" or "Hey Siri, check my phone with Wring". All the phrases are listed under Settings › Siri Shortcuts in the app, and you can add your own wording in the Shortcuts app.

The speed test shows an error.

The test needs to reach a public speed-test server; some corporate or school networks block them. Try on another Wi-Fi network or on cellular — the cellular test is shorter and uses about 50 MB.

Can I use one subscription on another device?

Store subscriptions are tied to the Apple ID or Google Account used for purchase. Sign in with the same store account on the second compatible device and restore purchases where available. A purchase made on wringdry.app is activated with the link from your email.
